How we will work together
Learn about the process of commissioning fitted furniture for your home
1. First Conversation
A friendly, no-pressure chat to hear about your project and see if we’re a good fit.
Share photos of the space or inspiration images if you like.
If helpful, I’ll pop over to see the room in person.
2. Approximate Proposal
I’ll send a rough cost outline, a suggested spec, and examples of similar work (plus a quick sketch if useful).
If the ballpark feels right, we move on to design.
3. Deposit & Design
A 10% deposit secures your slot in my project schedule.
Next I will visit your home to take measurements and review the materials and perhaps discuss the colour palette.
We don’t need to finalise the details at this stage, but we will agree on enough for me to start the design work.
You’ll get 3D visuals and a fully detailed quote. We’ll chat via WhatsApp. Screen recordings and images will help gather your feedback as we go.
What makes it easy?
I listen carefully and check in regularly
You don’t need to decide on everything up front
WhatsApp updates keep things clear
Neat workspace and respectful conduct at your home
It’s collaborative: you bring ideas, I bring expertise
4. Final Design
I’ll send you a final design specification and an accurate cost. We can pencil in your installation slot
5. Materials Ordered
I ordered all materials. I ask that customers settle any larger material orders (over £200) directly with the supplier.
How are you involved in the process?
Bring Pinterest boards of favourite ideas if you have them
Choose layout, colours, handles, and finishes
Your feedback drives the design
6. Workshop Progress
I will spend a few days making cabinets or other parts, and I’ll send progress videos and photos as I progress.
7. Installation
Installation takes 2-5 days (or longer if there are multiple pieces). Your home will be well looked after, kept tidy and clean while we work.
8. Finished!
Final invoice issued.
Time to enjoy your new furniture!
What does it feel like?
Collaborative — you’re part of the process
Professional — we are attentive, tidy and respectful
Creative — your tastes shape the outcome
Confident — a smooth, clear progress
Do I need an electrician?
Sometimes, I may need to invite a trusted electrician or plumber to the project if services need to be relocated or modified.
Third-party tradespeople will typically provide independent quotes for any required work.
I will coordinate their work to fit around the project schedule.
